Aiden & Grace

It’s been a hot minute since I photographed a proposal. These days, I’ve stepped away from weddings and the whirlwind that comes with them. Most of my work now revolves around seniors and families.

As my cleints grow into the next stages of life i can't help but be a part of that. After all I've been there through all the moments.

I’ve been photographing Aiden since he was about 5 or 6 years old. Even though I know how much he doesn’t love having his picture taken, he was surprisingly cooperative when his mom suggested having me come out. Big surprise for both of us—we know how he is.

The evening was overcast—kind of a bummer, since we had carefully planned everything around those gorgeous, Idaho sunsets we all love. But hey, we got puffy clouds, no wind, and just enough magic in the air to make it all work. And maybe it wasn’t the sunset we hoped for, but sometimes the light you get is the one that tells the story best. (Photographer talk—can’t help myself.)

She said yes! Everything unfolded perfectly—even the sun decided to make a grand entrance right on time. It’s like the sky was in on the plan. After all the overcast and waiting, the light hit just right, and it was magic. You couldn’t have scripted it better if you tried.

Over the years, some clients become more than just names on the calendar—they become friends. Aiden and his family are exactly that. I’ve watched him grow up through my lens, but I’ve also cheered him on from the sidelines of life. That’s the part no one tells you about photography: it’s not just about capturing milestones—it’s about building relationships that last longer than the shutter click.

Life moves fast, folks-

Thank you for letting me be part of your story. Wishing you both a lifetime of Idaho sunsets, whether the sky cooperates or not.
